The Interview with God
This is definitely worth two or three minutes of your time. It reminds me of something Kahlil Gibran might have written. Just click on the link below, then when you get to the site click on "View Presentation".
Its tone is not at all one of proselytizing, and it isn't as sappy as you might anticipate. There are some very beautiful pictures. May there be a message in it for each of us TODAY.

I like it too. I have it on my desktop.
good one John! I like it a lot.
Thanks, John. You're right about the low sappiness factor. Maybe we've seen so many forwarded messages that claim to speak for God that we've lowered our expectations to the level of Stuart Smalley. I also liked the many Jesse-Jacksonesque inverted statements about life.
I really appreciated that John
GOT the CDs but lost the Xanga message...just came in last night...been on the road since hearing the first hour of your show Thursday, and believe it or not---offline all that time [15K of junk e-mails
]
The next project will be converting that stuff to regular CDs for jamming purposes
Well, yes, that was lovely.
Why does it surprise me that you posted this? Somehow I had concluded you were either atheist or agnostic.
I remember having this saved on my old computer. Thank you for bringing it back to us.
Very nice. Filled with uncommon sense.
Hi John
ryc, the clients are anything but snickety. It's just that I discovered that sanding away the finish is a heck of a lot more work than I ever imagined. But hey, we live and we learn. Well... sometimes we learn. And yes, it is too bad you didn't know about my work when your friend did his basement. I've remodeled several similar basements, with the knotty pine board paneling, one of which included a full bath. I'm sure he would have been way happy with my work. Should you know anyone else in chicago's north side who could use my services, feel free to point them to tedscarpentry.com
Thanks for sharing that link to the god interview. Not the religious type myselfe, I can still appreciate the wisdom. Sometimes we get so caught up with what the future holds, we forget to live for the present. The link was just what I needed.
Peace!
Just posted THIS on Barbarella's site because of something she said elsewhere...didn't catch the name of the Robbie Robertson song you opened with
RYC---WAS gonna call you when you were playing your
throbs song that you was jonsing for...we weren't allowed to see "Across 110th Street" since it was rated R and there was a thang called PARENTING back in the day...and i finally got to see the movie when i stumbled across it on cable and was shocked---it was straight up GANGSTA unlike "Shaft" & "Super Fly" which were comic book in comparison
BTW, listened to the whole show yesterday...usually do unless somethang pops up
And what did ya think of Monte???
Check out the link i got here...don't know if she listens to you, but sure she'd like your show too
RYC - Well said my friend. My sentiments exactly. I almost went into a union rank but decided to save that one for another day.
That was great. Not sappy or too preachy. Beautiful pics too. Thanks for sharing that. The Forest Gump music was slightly distracting though.
RYC: Thanks, John. You are too kind. I just felt really dumb at the time. I guess there was no real harm done...it WAS a real learning experience for me though. It definitely helped me be a better listener.
RYC: The car is a hiseously ugly 1993 Chrysler New Yorker that I got for $500 a couple of years ago. It's a rustbucket.
I saw that before... But now it's very commercialized. Pretty sad!
you never seemed to me the kind of person to listen to Guru. Rock, rock - rock on!
happy thanksgiving!!!
