Where I've Been
Yeah, I know you've all been terribly worried about me. Thanksgiving did suck big-time, as most of my holidays do. I was planning to go to Chicago, but my plans fell through. I ended up just staying home, sleeping and eating chicken soup.
As I mentioned before, I've been over on Facebook quite a bit playing Scrabulous. My current record is 21-0, although fratmom is about to hand me my first humiliating loss. She's amazingly good, though she downplays it by saying that it's "just the luck of the draw".
I've also been creating a new world music folder for your listening enjoyment. Some of you may recall that I have a little weekly world music radio show on a local community radio station. Every year, at the end of the year, I choose what I consider to have been the best of the year's world music, and in early January I devote a show or two to playing my selection of the best of the previous year's music. Now that I have my little web site where you can go and listen to the podcasts of my radio show, I decided to create a new folder containing the best artists/albums of 2007. I tried to limit my selection to ten albums, but got a little carried away, with the result that there are 24 songs from 13 different CDs for your listening pleasure. Go to http://www.esnips.com/user/NSEWEFT to listen to them and, of course, to my weekly podcasts.
My next project will be to create a folder containing some of my favorite world music songs of all time. That will obviously be an ongoing work in progress.
So as you can see, while Rome burns I've been fiddling, in a manner of speaking.
Much love to you all.

This sounds as if you've been fiddling with me. (Let 'em think that.) I'm going right now to listen to your new folder. Meanwhile, start another game:)
Darn it man! If I had known you were lacking in Thanksgiving-ness, I would have invited you to the tattoo and turkey day we had. Not traditional, but good people and a good time.
Just warn me in advance if you are going to put your New World Folder into a New World Order.
Benjamin told me he wanted to make a podcast, and at first I told him I had no idea what a podcast was, then that I heard that someone on the local newstalk radio station had one. But it was actually from you that I heard the expression "podcast" from first, so I will refer him to your site and podcast.
If you're including Cantopop, anything by Sam Hui is/was way popular amongst Chinese-Americans who were teens in the 70s and 80s and even early 90s. But the C-A kids now listen to rap, and say "Yuck! That's the music my parents listen to!"
I use Gabcast for podcast
Hey John:
You're more sexy than Connery... Upload your pic!!! I went to your site, I never thought you're creative... Cool!
Great song and add me to your facebook when you get a chance.

Was everybody sick during Thanksgiving?
ryc: Nietzsche is famous for "God is dead," one of the most misquoted and misinterpreted lines of all time. I don't believe Nietsche disbelieved the reality of sin any more than he disbelieved the existence of God, although his opinion of God surely varied from mine. Of course I believe in the reality of sin, however, I don't think asking a priest is necessarily going to lead you in the right direction. Sin is separating yourself from God through action, inaction, thought or attitude. Any man who claims to be the only one or a member of the only group who can define either sin or God for you is to be held in suspicion.
fiddling while rome burns,,, hahahahaha,,, why not?
i thought it was a little high,,, people around here dont seem to realize the town is dead,,,, and,,, hahahaha,, any house or anything else for all that matters requires 50% down.
it does look not like much from the street,,, and well,,, mexican houses all have basically the same style,,,, rustic,,,, but it is an awesome place,,, and more privacy than most.
come on down,,, i have plenty,,,,,, t bone.
Gotta remember to check that link out
Lessons on Nietzche from "god"
i just love those Texas bimbo philosopherepubliscum who KNOW it all...maybe i should just stop reading and start fawning at their omniscient feet
I'll be visiting your podcast! Sorry you were "blah" over Thanksgiving. Susan
Soooo...where've you been?
Cool...more music for my MP3 player....glad I suscribed...sorry it took so long...Peace
I am sorry to hear your Thanksgiving was less than "cheery." You could have driven here and joined us all for turkey and pumpkin pie - there was certainly more than enough to go around! Do you not have family in town?
hahaha,,, i castigate anyone who crosses my path,,, with the exception of a very few,,, you being one,,, anyone who will come face to face with me to argue about something deserves my respect,,, plus,,, i appreciate your looking at my posts from time to time,,,
since iranians dont really affect me,,, i dont really spend much time on them,,, i did have this iranian chick,,,, half egyptian really i think who used to come fuss at me,,, i appreciated that as well.
speaking of iranians,,,, is this iranian i wonder? Hai Daiyya..bas bhi karo..log kya kahenge! hahahaha,,, just popped up on my messenger,,,, iranian spam? hahahahaha.
anyway,,, you mentioned something about jr and the white house,,, they get more words from me than the iranias by a long ways id imagine,,,, they do affect me. and as far as the other churches,,,,, i take no direction from them any more than the iranians,,,, they were all picked from the same tree.
i think what got me started this time,,, (it normaly takes something to set me off) was the teddy bear incident,,, an attack on someone,,,, anyone,,,, in this case not even an american,,, i take as an attack on myself,,, especially over an incident i could possibly be guilty of,,, if guilty is the correct term,,, which i use lightly.
calling for her execution? hahahahahaha,,,, and as i was writing my post about that,,, this friend of mine was over here,,,, im sure this is a repeat statement from somewhere,,,, told me i couldnt just make fun of someone to be making fun of them,,,, hahahahahaha,,, i got another good laugh and told him to watch and see.
i have no problem with anyone making fun of me,,,, nor god, nor jr,,,, nor would i believe they would have a problem with anyone making fun of them, or me. its an open game,,, allah and muhammad will feel my wrath as well,,, any muslim who can take a joke is welcome to share in the fun,,,, those that cant,,,, can wallow in their dispair as far as im concerned.
lump me in a group and make fun of it,,, fine as well,,, i may or may not actually be in that group,,, im often accused of being a redneck,,, again i have a good laugh and disregard it,,, has something to do with high blood pressure as far as im concerned,,, (red neck) (which i dont have) .
anyway,,, yea,,, a lot of things enter my mind,,, but too much info spoils the story.
like this,,,, hahahahahaha,,,, way too long to be a comment.
and yea,,,, hahahahaha,,, started to say she would be a trip one of these days,,,, but shes already a trip.
Wow!! Very impressed with the radio voice John. You know, I was always impressed with your intellect and faith and now that I have a face and voice to go with, I'm even more impressed. Great job, continued success my friend.
RYC: I deeply miss our old friends...especially buggirl, and mostly espinosa baca...even my man hedgehogman. Don't know if I can ever get back into as those days, but I sure do miss them. You were probably the King of the group, you were always there and held us together. I wonder how they are all today. I always wanted to meet all of them, maybe buggirl the most since we were pretty close. Oh well, so much for xanga friendships. If you know where she is, I'd be happy to drop her a line. Peace bro, and continued love of Christ, Scott.
RYC: Success isn't always defined by '$'. I mean, the defintion of success is, at the end of the day, do you enjoy what you do. That to me defines success. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. You cannot determine success by monatary value.
Thanks for Buggirl's xanga site. I kinda forgot it and hope to be in contact with her. I'm sure she is doing well, a strong woman is she.
RYC---Jesus was mostly turn-the-other-cheek, but he certainly had his moments of righteous indignation---the latter is probably the more historic JC
As i've said numerous times, i was Catholic until i became catholic.....
Lawd i'd love to see what they have in the Vatican vaults, but suffice it to say, i believe they incorporated the Krishna [notice how close that is to kristos
White Amerikkka loved MLK, but Malcolm was the driving force in the Black community, and his neo-Garveyism is what became the Black empowerment movement. King's Gandhism STILL don't work since this cuntry is much like the Roman Empire, who along with the Nazis use the eagle as their standard
Guess you're not aware that there's WHOLE LOT of Jesuit in my background, and my aim next year is to start studying the Talmud...which is why i don't get into real theological discussions with people.
And you'll be surprised at my next book which is VERY Christian...although it will probably offend many christians because it's a bit TOO Christian.
You probably have the old jigaboo view of MILITANT Malcolm, but if you delve into his work more thoroughly you'll see that HE was more Christlike than Martin the Appeaser, who was more like a Saul of Tarsus
Because it's a beautiful dress, it's very flattering to my figure, it requires very minor modifications to make it presentable, and it was practically free. That's the perfect dress. Perfectly rational.
ryc: Dad can be a pretty cool guy. He's probably way more intelligent than me. Heh.
"So that's a park in Mexico near where you live?" actually,, no,,, its just a pic i found. the play set is like the type we have here tho. thats a daytime pic obviously. most of our visits to the park are at night. at least till the weather tuns cold. were having pretty good luck with the weather just now thanks to owls proclomation of global warming. it was an unseasonably cool summer tho,,,, that was nice too,,, i dont know who to thank for that one.
i should have just taken a pic at our park,,, im not sure where my camera is at the moment,,, i however promise as soon as i find it,,, i will take some pics of our park,,, one of them,,, there are several several of them. pretty much all the same. two of the biggest ones are within walking distance from my house,,, but i always drive as karla always plays herself silly and,,, well,, its just easier to get her home in a car.
my pics will be night time pics to prove my point, i think there will be enough light. hopefully well have some more warm nights,,, so you can get a feel of the number of kids who go there to play at night,,, cold tends to keep them at home.
"Your unsubstantiated biases against all "foreigners", on the other hand, are simply unbelievable."
i tried to find what your refering to. i couldnt. maybe it was from a comment or something. im not aware of any bias towards anybody. unless they are idiots.... to qualify as an idiot,,, they must first be biased against me and or my lifestyle. they are free to believe as they wish as long as they dont molest me or my lifestyle. as soon as they step over that line,,, yes,,, i am biased,,, and i think it is far from unsubstantiated.
shoot me a quote and ill try to clarify it. ill admit,,, sometimes i may cut corners in a statement. and maybe i shouldnt, but sometimes just to finish up and try to shorten what im writing.,,,,,
what, my dear is scrabulous? is it like fabulous scrabble? I love scrabble but can hardly ever find anyone to play with me....scrabble that is, LOL.
Trusting from the upbeat tone of this post that you are well my dear.
Love.

ryc: ooh - you'd be surprised just how downright racist that part of town is. think about it, i spent the majority of my classes on "Look at what the White Man did to us!!!" and "No Self Respecting Black Person should make friends with the 'Devil"? yuck
'ey - give me your facebook account!
"So who's committing all of these gruesome murders here in America" an assortment of people. hahahaha,,,,, "illegals mostly dont go to the us to commit crimes." is biased? maybe i should look up the new pc definition of biased. a lot of people mistake any crimes committed by a person of spanish decent as being committed by an illegal... i normally suspect they are merely us citizens of spanish decent. some illegals of course commit crimes. most swim the river or walk across the desert for other purposes,,,,
disclaimer,,, not to assume i approve of illegal entry,,, this whole mess obviously makes things harder for me. i dont approve of it.
i may be biased towards our legislators who seem to try their best to make life harder for law abiding citizens. and yes,,, i am proud of that fact.
now, i know very little about muslims,,, and id just as soon leave it that way,,, i dont require they understand me,,, nor do i intend to understand them.
all i really know about them is we were attacked by them at one time and as far as i can tell they got away with it,,,,, had i had a say in the aftermath,,,, yea,,, a lot of innocent people would have died,,,, a whole lot,,,, but,,, it would now all be in the past. and we wouldnt needed coded terror alerts to help control us....
muslims may not be a threat,,,, but ,,,,,, hey,,,, your president jr says they are. and i obviously cant have him and his co horts in the house and senate hanged,,,, so,,, when in rome,,,, up to a point,,,, hahahahahahaha.
im of course speaking of your party as well as wallythemerchants,,,, my party is irrelevant as it dont exist.
hey..james bond...i'm more local, when i say our rise in gruesome murders is committed by illegals...i mean in my home town (which is a fact)...so lighten up. it is not uncommon for them to kill and then dismember people here...in little ol' Kansas. (had three murders like that this year here)..but never even makes the national news, because they don't use guns..hahahahaha
Sorry your thanksgiving fell thru...hope Christmas holds better promise for you?
machettes dont assist with anti gun legislation tia. has to be disregarded,,, only guns kill. sorry,,, you are mistaken,,, no one was harmed.
I love world music so I'm off to visit your link.
Hi, John,
Do you think that S would be interested in competing with me on Scrabulous?
I have learned a lot and walked away from 2 games winning by single digits (it might be three depending on the outcome of one I am playing). One game I had been behind until I laid down a 32-point play of "WHIM." The other win (297-294) came despite being hammered by a 60+ point bingo of "CAREEnED" early in the match. Ironically, I won that game with "BIT" for 6 points.
I am proud of how far you have come doing the show and handling the World Music genre without me, John. My hat is doffed to you.
