  • Quote of the Year

From a taxpayer/voter up in Chicago during my recent visit.  Spoken with a straight face and no apparent awareness of irony:

"I want change, but I don't want to PAY for it!"

This attitude, typical of most Americans, is why the Empire will continue to crumble.  You heard it first right here.

  • You said it...change always costs something to someone.

  • we've paid through the nose for change we didn't ask for.  i'd pay for good change... where do i find it?

  • I wonder how the rest of the conversation went...if a conversation can exist in the presence of that kind of illogic.

  • I'll be your witness.

  • So true so true...
    Amazing country we have here.

  • Bad news for the Polar Bears .... Global Colding has caused Arctic Ice to increase 30% from August 2007 to August 2008.

By the way, we won't have to pay for the change caused by ending the war in Iraq, that alone will save us a percentage of a trillion by ending the kleptocracy.

  • change should cost,,, the government,,, not the taxpayer,,, weve already paid,,, i see nothing wrong with the statement,,,  no need to pay more,,,,  you may need to rethink,,,,,

i was thinking about i want change,,, and i want my change along with it,,, some of what they already have.

i have a little income up in montana,,, for every $100 i make,,, and i make a little more than that every month,, not much more,,,, the state makes $3000,,, off my endeavor,,, i think im paying sufficiently.....

  • whats the tax rate on that???

oh,,, hahahahaha,, thats not tax,,, the tax is on top of that,,, my share of the taxes are only about $1500.00  about what i make off it,,, hahahahahahaha

wait,, thats not right either,,, taxes and government spending and collecting are complicated arent they.....

thats my property tax,,, i pay my actual tax on top of that,,,,  state tax as well as federal tax.....

your friend with the statement has a point,,,

    in my opinion.

  • The empire crumbles and there's change right there

  • I think you put your thumb on the pulse of something nasty, my friend. But you are spot on. Maybe it is the end of the world as know it (I don't feel fine)?
