  • An Interview Is Worth a Thousand Words

Here's Katie Couric asking Republican Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin about the $700 billion Wall Street bailout.  Probably worth 1.5 minutes of your time.

I can hardly WAIT for the Vice Presidential debates next Thursday night!  If the Republicans are smart, they'll try to get Tina Fey to stand in for Palin.  That way it will at least be INTELLIGENT comedy.

  • Wow.  Even Miss Teen USA South Carolina probably couldn't see how that answer related to the question, although I think the next sentence was an attempt to bring it all back to the question.  I think the Couric interview overall was a bad day for Palin. Maybe she and Katie duked it out beforehand.  I can just picture Katie slamming her pumps on the coffee table "We will bury you!"

I think Palin needs to stick with simple SVO sentences, and avoid the use of any and all conjunctions.

It seems that someone has advised her to never say Alaska, and her avoidance of it is glarinly uncomfortable.

  • sometimes its just time to start over,,, every time i started over,, i started over from scratch,,,

these people had their whack at it,,, lets let someone who maybe can make a viable product have a whack at it,,,

the bailout has nothing to do with helping the economy,,,,  throwing good money after bad never helped anything,,,

hahahaha,, i doubt she has a clue about economics,,, uh,,, kinda like the rest of those in charge,,,

now weve successfully bashed her,,, what does ears have to offer???  my guess is nothing.

i like bashing as much as anybody,,, hahahaha,,, but throw out an alternative with it,,,

i can think of only one alternative,,, vote mejicojohn for king of north america,,,

she is kinda hot tho,,, i could keep her in the cellar,,, if i was king....

  • @mejicojohn - Hahahahaha!  I'm sure all of my female readers especially will appreciate the educational and informative Harry Enfield videos!

  • She would have done better sticking to talking points only, instead of getting lost in her own explanations...

I gotta give Katie some props, though. She managed to keep the cynicism out of her voice, even if she couldn't QUITE keep it out of her eyes.

  • Before we have a Palin-pile-on we should remember that most of us would probably do just as poorly in an interview on national television.....which, of course, is why we need someone of above average intelligence for the job.

  • Oh, feel free to proceed with the pile-on now.  Ha, ha!

  • Leave her alone! She's only a girl!
